Data center owner, operator and developer CyrusOne has promoted John Hatem to CEO.
Hatem’s promotion is effective immediately. He will also have a seat on the company’s board of directors. 
The Dallas-based company’s outgoing CEO, Eric Schwartz, is stepping down and will work with Hatem to ensure a smooth transition, the company said in a press release.
“I have never been more excited about what lies ahead,” Hatem said in a statement. “As workloads become more power-intensive and demand for faster delivery grows, our structural advantages have never mattered more.”
Hatem has been with KKR & Co. affiliate CyrusOne since 2011, most recently serving as president.
