The Daily Dirt: State board flags concerns about casino bids

NYC is slated to get three casinos. The state board that approved the proposals, however, has some reservations.  As largely expected, the Gaming Facility Location Board on Monday recommended that the remaining three casino proposals — Bally’s Bronx, Hard Rock Metropolitan Park and Resorts World New York City — receive state casino licenses.  The board determined that awarding all three licenses “best advances the state’s long-term economic, fiscal and community objectives.”  The proposals now head to the state Gaming Commission, which will ensure the applicants abide by New York’s licensing requirements. NYC’s top deals: Steve Buscemi sells Park Slope home for $5M

There were 183 deals totaling $422 million recorded in New York City before 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1. 🏆 Residential: The top residential transaction recorded in New York was on the Upper West Side, where a sponsor unit at Sackman Enterprises’ 15 West 96th Street sold for $5.9 million. The unit measures nearly 2,700 square feet and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The buyer was William Mansfield. Douglas Elliman agent Gail Sankarsingh dies at 57

Gail Sankarsingh, a longtime New York City luxury agent, died Friday at the age of 57. Born in Trinidad, Sankarsingh moved to New York City in 1986 as a teenager and joined Douglas Elliman in 2007.  Sankarsingh built her business with prominent Manhattan new development projects, including the historic Apthorp on the Upper West Side, the Baccarat Residences in Midtown and The Centrale in Midtown East, before pivoting in recent years to focus on resales. She consistently placed among the top-producing agents at her firm, earning fifth in gross commission income among individual Elliman agents in the city in 2017.    […]
