A typically slow summer month for New York City’s residential real estate appears to be entering a slog that’s partially by design. Manhattan listings on StreetEasy fell 7 percent week-over-week in the first week of August, more than double its typical decline to open the month. From 2023 to 2025, only 3 percent of listings were pulled from StreetEasy during the first week of August.
